Schedule

On-Site Registration
1:40 pm

We'll welcome you and get you ready for an awesome afternoon!
If you've already registered online, there is no need to come to on-site registration!
The paper airplane activity will begin promptly at 3:30 pm.

Paper Airplane Competition!
2:00 pm- 2:40 pm

As survivors in a city stricken with a fictional zombie virus, kids must design and throw a paper airplane to carry a "cure" (paper clip) as far away from themselves as possible. Kids will explore elements of aerodynamics, understand physical vs chemical processes, and implement the engineering and design process in this activity!

Spaghetti Marshmallow Challenge (Prizes)
2:45 pm - 3:15 pm

Students will engage in an engineering and teamwork challenge that involves groups of students trying to build a standing structure out of spaghetti noodles that will hold a marshmallow off the ground as high as possible. They will be able to earn prizes through this event.

Homemade Ice Cream!
3:15 pm - 3:45 pm

With half and half, sugar, vanilla flavoring, and a bag of ice and salt, the students will create their own delicious homemade ice cream under our guidance while learning about the scientific principles behind their creation. They will be exploring concepts like freezing point depression, states of matter, and gain an understanding of physical and chemical changes!
